To prepare for the journey to conquer the dream universities in the future, Scotch AGS students presented the study plan for 3 years of high school with the Australian Baccalaureate (SACE).

The attractive presentation from three groups of Scotch AGS students demonstrated their thorough understanding of the SACE program structure and the compulsory subjects that need to be completed in order to conquer the world’s top 1% of universities. This process also shows the initiative and clarity in the career direction that students invest in for their own future.

From the SACE to the University of Adelaide

With the goal of the Bachelor of Architectural Design program at the University of Adelaide, one of Australia’s prestigious Go8 schools, the Art students group had a presentation about the standard roadmap and compulsory subjects in the SACE program.

Students in group 1 presented about the Bachelor of Architectural Design program with the SACE.

Specifically, each student needs to complete all the subjects in the required group and two subjects related to design and art. To achieve the remaining number of credits, students will choose subjects from the selective group to explore their own abilities.

With the diverse and selective subjects from this pathway, students will learn more about knowledge in Technology, Engineering, Business, Medicine, etc. to expand their opportunities to choose majors after graduating from high school.

In addition to a satisfactory ATAR ranking, architectural design students must equip themselves with a profile of their own design-marked products to use as a criterion for assessing their competence.

To pursue a medicine major, students must choose related subjects such as math, chemistry, and biology.

The next witty presentation was from the University of Adelaide’s Bachelor of Medicine program from the second group of students. In this field of study, in addition to Mathematics, English and Research Projects, students would have to study a group of prerequisite subjects in a selective group, including Chemistry and Biology. The Bachelor of Medicine program is a major with a tight schedule. Therefore, for these non-majority students who want to learn to accumulate credits, they would not be able to choose these subjects at any stage but must start at the foundation level at the beginning of the 11th grade.

The group of students interested in mathematics developed last presentation with the University of Adelaide’s Bachelor of Computer Science program. This major requires students to have outstanding mathematical abilities. Therefore, Mathematics will be a compulsory and prerequisite subject, along with other complementary subjects in the elective group such as Physics, Technology, Specialist Mathematics…

A big impression from the school leadership team

Commenting on the presentations of three groups of students, Dr. Kelly Sharp – the Chair of the Scotch AGS Academic Committee said she was very surprised that right from the 10th grade, the students actively researched the SACE program, majors, and their school’s dream university. She emphasized that the SACE certificate is not only recognized in Australia but also globally. With the companionship of the school and parents, she believes that the students will be more successful at university and can conquer prestigious universities in the future.
