I welcome you to become part of Scotch College.

Each year every student who walks through our gates joins a school that cares deeply about providing extraordinary opportunities and experiences that they will remember for a lifetime.

Students who join Scotch College join more than a school. They join a tradition of over 100 years of educational excellence, where students are challenged to be their best in and out of the classroom. They join a tradition of caring for the welfare of each individual student, a tradition of innovative and progressive education.

At Scotch College we know that learning occurs in environments where students have the breadth to explore their passions and opportunity to experience the depth and rigour of academic disciplines. We know learning takes place on a court or a field, on hike through rainforests or when performing on a stage. We know that working with others and our broader community helps us learn as much about ourselves as it does about the world that we live in.

As a result, joining Scotch College means joining a school that nurtures talented students, using the experience and expertise of outstanding educators to help them be their best. And, as they leave as graduates of Scotch, they are joining a worldwide community of Scotch alumni who have had the opportunity to explore what is possible beyond the school’s gates.

We’re delighted to offer the SACE International program at Scotch AGS.

Choosing a senior secondary program is an important decision. We believe the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) can offer unlimited potential for students to thrive. For those of you planning to commence the SACE this year or thinking about it for future years, we are excited to share your educational journey and look forward to celebrating your achievements as SACE graduates.

The SACE has a long history stretching back to 1874 and is a trusted and modern qualification that gives young people the skills, knowledge and personal capabilities to successfully participate in a fast-paced global society.

The SACE is innovative and designed with a high level of flexibility to unlock every student’s potential. Of a student’s final grade, 70% is derived from classroom assessment, where teachers continuously monitor and support students’ learning. This shifts the focus from memorising for exams to learning the skills to solve problems in the real world, enabling graduates to successfully deal with the challenges at university, at work, and in their communities.

SACE delivered at Scotch AGS is the same program provided to students in Australia, meaning all students in Vietnam are subject to the same high standards of assessment and education as their Australian peers.

With SACE, a thriving learner is an adventurous learner, building not only academic skills but the ability to connect to a community and understand their own belonging. All students get to demonstrate what they know and how they can apply it as their SACE journey unfolds.

SACE is a recognised and respected pathway for all universities in Australia. It also opens a world of possibilities and access to top universities across the globe, including in destinations such as the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.

Scotch AGS works in partnership with Scotch College Adelaide, drawing on over 100 years of expertise to deliver outstanding educational outcomes to students. Offering a comprehensive Australian curriculum from Year 1 to Year 12, including an internationally recognised Senior Secondary Certificate, Scotch AGS provides a whole of life preparation and a pathway to tertiary studies around the world.

Our vision is bold: To challenge every student to become an agile global citizen, leader and lifelong learner, achieving their full intellectual, academic, cultural, music and sporting potential, in a setting that cares about wellbeing, promotes academic excellence and values community.

We deliver a rigorous and coherent curriculum that has been developed in conjunction with Scotch College Adelaide, which has a demonstrated record of academic success. Scotch graduates regularly achieve amongs the highest results in Australia.

We open with our first Campus in Phu Nhuan; a site that specialises in Secondary and Senior Secondary education. Our Tan Phu Campus will open in 2023, which will grow to educate students from Year 1 to Year 9. In the following year, we will open Nha Be, located in the newly developed Nine South precinct in District 7, which will also cater for students from Year 1 to Year 12. Each campus will offer a broad curriculum which engages students in music, sport, culture, art and academic pursuits within a contemporary setting.

Scotch AGS employs a highly skilled teaching faculty, who work collaboratively with Scotch College Adelaide and Australian Curriculum providers to bring students the highest quality curriculum and pastoral care offering.
