Familiar Tet 2023 at Scotch AGS

On January 12, teachers and students at Scotch AGS had a happy day in the Familiar Tet with many great and meaningful activities to welcome Lunar New Year.

Lunar New Year is one of the biggest festivals of Vietnamese people with the meaning of rest and family reunion after a year of work and dedication. This is also a series of days when everywhere organizes activities to welcome Tet in a joyful and bustling atmosphere. And at the 100-year Australian school – Scotch AGS, students were equally busy to prepare activities to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2023.

To celebrate the New Year of 2023 this year, Scotchies had participated in recreating anecdotes in Vietnamese fairy tales to create many challenging games such as separating white bean and black bean in Tam Cam, delivering watermelons in Mai An Tiem’s tale or delivering gold in The golden star fruit tree. Thereby they can learn more about the cultural beauty and values during our traditional Tet holiday.

Moreover, the Scotchies also organized many “artistic” workshops including: decorating “Non La”, painting cat statues, wrapping “Banh Chung, Banh Day” combined with extremely eye-catching and unique music performances.

The end of a familiar Tet holiday is also the time when our students enter the Tet holiday season with a lot of fun, joy and excitement. Let’s wish each other a very full Tet in the Lunar New Year 2023.
