Primary and Middle School Curriculum

Students in the Scotch AGS Primary and Middle School programs will follow a thorough and rigorous learning pathway based on the Australian National Curriculum (ACARA) from grades 1-9.

Primary School

Grades 1-2: The school emphasizes literacy and numeracy development. Students gain knowledge and enhance their language skills in all learning activities.

Grades 3–4: Students in grades 3–4 acquire knowledge and interact with one another via experiential learning both inside and outside of the classroom. The program also emphasizes activities that assist students in developing a sense of community.

Grade 5: In their final year of primary school, students will become aware of the importance of mental health care; they will communicate effectively, know how to ask questions and seek answers, and act responsibly.

An inclusive education for Intellectual – Physical – Spiritual development

Middle School

Grade 6: In sixth grade, students are encouraged to try new things. Lessons and exercises assist students in understanding the nature of the subjects through gathering information, observing, recognizing, and conducting experiments.

Grades 7-8: The curriculum emphasizes physical education and sports activities to improve students’ physical and mental health.

Grade 9: The curriculum provides students with information about society, economics, and citizenship, as well as the ability to apply that knowledge in social interaction. Students are also beginning to choose their preferred fields and careers.

Scotch AGS will offer two special support programs for new students starting in 2023: a 25% Tuition Discount for the first year of Primary School (Grades 1–5) and Talent Scholarships of up to 50% for the entire Middle School (Grades 6–9).
