As a monolingual curriculum, English plays a key role in communication and learning at Scotch AGS. There are two teachers in most subjects: one native and one Vietnamese. Vietnamese teachers do not act as translators into Vietnamese for students. They will be co-teachers to guide and support students in more detail, integrating relevant knowledge from Vietnamese culture or daily life into the lesson.

Thanks to the cooperation of both teachers, students will gradually get used to learning and thinking in native English. They are not dependent on means of translation and are improving their English ability every day.

However, we know each student has a different ability to acquire languages. Therefore, the school also offers an intensive English course for students who need to strengthen their English skills until they are eligible for admission.

After more than 100 years of establishment and development, Scotch College Adelaide has been presented in Vietnam, starting with the launch of the South Australian Primary, Secondary, and High School System (Scotch AGS).

With the quintessence of 100 years of education, Scotch College has made many impressive achievements. First, 95% of the Scotch AGS students passed to universities and the world’s top 1% of universities, such as Harvard, Oxford, Yale, etc.

Second, with the expertise of Scotch College Adelaide for over 100 years, Scotch AGS offers a comprehensive Australian National Curriculum from primary to high school, including the SACE. SACE is internationally recognized to help students acquire comprehensive knowledge, necessary skill sets, essential life skills, and a passport to transfer to universities around the world.

The teaching and learning program at Scotch AGS is designed and standardized based on the Australian National Curriculum. In addition, the program also incorporates a number of subjects from the program of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training.

In particular, at the high school level, students who complete the program will be awarded the SACE with global recognition. To graduate with the SACE, students are required to study and complete 200 credits of training, equivalent to about 10–12 subjects in 2 years of grades 11 and 12, of which three are compulsory: Mathematics, English, and Research Projects. The remaining subjects students can select from the list of the selective include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Design, Business, etc., depending on their own strengths and career choice trends at the university level later.

The learning pathway for students at Scotch AGS matches all three criteria: coherence, relevance, and rigor for each student’s developmental stage. This program is the good choice for parents who want their children to become global citizens while preserving Vietnamese cultural values.

Students can transfer to Vietnamese public schools depending on their adaptability. Therefore, we expect you to have an orientation on whether your children will attend international schools or the public school system from the beginning.

One-year tuition at Scotch AGS ranges from 299,000,000 to 496,680,000 VND, depending on grade level. The tuition fee does not include uniforms, textbooks and learning materials, boarding fees, transportation fees, or co-curricular activities such as music, sports, art, etc.

Scotch AGS has a talent scholarship program for outstanding students in grades 10–11. The maximum scholarship amount can cover up to 70% of the tuition fees and is determined by the School Board based on academic performance and admission application results.

To ensure the safety of students’ tranportation and the convenience of parents, Scotch AGS provides a flexible, safe, and affordable transportation service for students with a reasonable budget.

School buses serve most routes in HCMC with acceptable adjustments to save distances and time. The vehicle system is modernly equipped and regularly maintained, ensuring the comfort and safety of the students during the journey. Along with a team of experienced drivers and the strict management of teachers, the school bus service at Scotch AGS will be the perfect choice for commuting.

Co-curriculars are activities added to the regular curriculum to enhance and enrich students initial knowledge, skills, and life experiences. As a result, students can study while playing, relax after school, improve the quality of learning and develop their positive sides in other aspects of life.

Focusing on co-curricular programs is one of the training goals at Scotch AGS. We hope that every student has the opportunity to explore new knowledge and accumulate more life experiences to become the best version of themselves. Some typical activities can be mentioned, such as music clubs, sports, STEM, reading, chess, etc.

SACE is a globally recognized qualification. With the characteristics of training based on personal competencies, the SACE program will equip students with practical problem-solving and approach skills so that they are always ready to face challenges in learning and have breakthroughs at the university level, as well as being able to win scholarships at the world’s top 1% of universities.

According to statistics from SACE International, more than 40,000 international students have graduated from the SACE program since 1982 and have studied at prestigious universities. 100% of the SACE graduates in 2020 were admitted to Australian universities.

Besides an international educational environment, Scotch AGS also has close relationships with partners from the top 1% of universities in the world, such as in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc. Therefore, students and parents can participate in seminars about studying abroad and talk directly with representatives of these universities.

To support students in preparing to study abroad, the school will connect with prestigious universities to organize information sessions for Scotch AGS students. Students and parents will also have the opportunity to talk and discuss directly with the top 1% of universities’ representatives at events organized by Scotch AGS.

Scotch AGS graduates will get the SACE certificate. With this international certificate, they will have the oppoturnities to study at most of the world’s top 1% of universities, especially in countries such as Australia, Singapore, the USA, and Canada.

In addition, students who do not go to study abroad can still apply to universities in Vietnam with the SACE. Most of the major public universities in Vietnam (e.g., University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Foreign Trade University, International University (VNU), National Economics University, etc.) always have targets for admission for students graduating from a foreign high school program.

Scotch AGS students will graduate with the SACE program, which has global recognition. As a result, Scotch AGS graduates are eligible to attend many universities in Australia, the UK, the USA, Canada, and other English-speaking countries around the world.

In addition, students at Scotch AGS can join the community of international students and alumni of the top 1% of universities in the world, which has helped them understand their upcoming learning path and life abroad.
